August Favourites

Hello! I know it has been a long time since my last post BUT I am back and planning on doing a blog post every week or twice a week if possible. HOWEVER, there will be weeks when I may be bogged down with college work and struggle to find time but I will try my best!
Time has flown and it has come to the point where I am going to do my August Favourites, and today I have 5 products as I didn't get a chance to try out many new things in August.

OPI Nail Envy- Strengthener (£9.76)

OPI nail varnish is expensive but it is so worth the money! I am a massive lover of nail varnish, I have a huge obsession with it and having so many bottles. My two favourite brands are definitely OPI and Nails Inc. In terms of nail care, the nail envy has been a LIFE SAVER. About 8 months ago I had some Shellac put on, but it wasn't genuine shellac and the beautician used an emery board to file the actual nail surface. Unfortunately, my nails were ruined for months afterwards and so I bought some of the nail envy when it was on offer (from £18- prices depend on where you buy it from). My nails are finally almost back to normal and are much stronger. It just applies easily and dries so fast, I just LOVE it!

Neutrogena- Visibly Clear Rapid Clear Treatment (£4.99)

I mentioned this in my skin care routine but I had to put it into my favourites. I really struggle with outbreaks of spots on my skin and I spotted this when I was shopping and figured I would give it a go as I hadn't found anything else that worked. It works so quickly and is perfect for just putting on a spot as soon as it appears and it just prevents the spot from getting any bigger which for me, is ideal.  I would definitely recommend it but I wouldn't suggest it to be used all over the face and it is quite thick and creates a covering over the spot so it isn't the right type of product to be using as a moisturiser

Garnier- Soothing 2 in 1 Make Up Remover (£3.25)

Again, this was mentioned in my skin care routine, but this has been so good and now, I wouldn't go back to using make up wipes. I don't have to rub my eyes to remove my make up so it just means my skin is saved from that and it is much gentler on my eyes. Make up wipes are good for travelling, but this is fantastic for every day use and it is so much faster.

Herbal Essences- Hello Hydration Deep Nourishing Intensive Mask (£4.79)

This smells incredible, I have been using the shampoo and conditioner but my friend suggested the mask and it has been so good. I put this on my hair in replacement for conditioner and I leave it on for a few minutes. Since I have been using hair masks on my hair instead of conditioner, it has stopped my hair from going as static when I blow dry it afterwards and my hair smells so good until the next time I wash it. I would definitely suggest this for dry hair.

Rimmel London- Wonder'Full Mascara (£5.99)

Usually, I use the'Benefit They're Real!' mascara, but I wanted a new mascara as well as that and I wasn't disappointed. This is such a good mascara and doesn't make my lashes look clumpy so its perfect for if I just want to put some make up on quickly and want a more natural look. The brush is a nice size and apart from anything, I just LOVE the packaging!

I hope you enjoyed my August Favourites and I hope it has 'inspired' you to buy certain products or try them out. Thank you for reading and if you would like to follow me on BlogLovin, here is the link: http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/12721063

Skin Care Routine

I suffer from very painful spots on my face and I frequently have break outs, so for me it is important that I stick to a set routine every morning and evening that reduces the oil on my skin and helps reduce the 'viciousness' of the break outs.

STEP 1: I wash my face with The Body Shop 'Tea Tree Skin Clearing Face Wash'

STEP 2: I gently scrub my face with the Clean&Clear 'Exfoliating Daily Wash'. This is oil-free and helps to reduce how much oil builds up on my skin by the end of the day.

STEP 3: I use a cotton wool pad and I cleanse my face with the Clean&Care 'Deep Cleansing Lotion'. This is brilliant for spotty skin and it really gets into the pores and helps to reduce my spots massively. I use the sensitive skin one as my skin is easily irritated. This product is ideal for removing any foundation from my face in the evening.

STEP 4: I cover any spots in the Neutrogena 'Visibly Clear- Rapid Clear Treatment'. On the packaging it says that it works in 4 hours and I was really impressed as it does work very quickly and help to just stop my spots getting any worse.

In the evenings before doing any of these steps, I remove my eye make up with Garnier 'Simply Essentials- Soothing 2 in 1 Make-Up Remover' . I have had this product for a few days now as I use it in replacement for make-up wipes and it is so much easier! I would definitely recommend it because it is so gentle on my eyes and it stops me having to rub away at my eyes to remove my mascara.

In the morning I will then go on to put my make up on and in the evenings I tend to this just before I go to bed and I sometimes put on a face mask on in the evening before this routine.

If you have any suggestions for products that I could review then feel free to suggest them in the comments :) I am also on Blog Lovin now so if you would like to follow me on there just copy and paste the link to my blog, which is  http://charlottealyxx.blogspot.co.uk/  into the search bar and you can follow me on there :)

July Favourites

BarryM Gelly Hishine- Sugar Apple (£3.99)

I found this colour perfect for summer. I find the BarryM Gelly nail polishes so fun and they almost give this look as if the nail is still wet. This is definitely my favourite nail polish at the moment.

Garnier Body Oil Nourished Lotion (£4.99 for 250ml)
I had been looking for a moisturiser for ages! I found this one was perfect as it isn't too greasy or sticky and it smells amazing. It's perfect for everyday use. It has a pump which is what I wanted as it makes it a thousands times easier to apply. The only negative thing I have to say about this product is that I find it doesn't dry particularly quickly so I would suggest you apply it about half an hour before you go to bed/go out.

Seventeen- Blemish Balm (Light) (£6.99)
This BB cream was so good for my skin. I find that this covers my spots but also massively improves them within a few days so for me this was perfect. I use the shade 'light' and I find that it is good for my sun kissed face at the moment but when I am not tanned it doesn't really match my skin tone so I have to mix with a paler powder.

The Body Shop- Tea Tree Blemish Gel (£6.00)
This gel came in odd packaging and I wasnt sure of it at first. It is in the shape of a lip gloss and has a wand just like a lip gloss. However, this means it is easy to apply to spots. It is perfect for catching spots that are just appearing and I found it worked with my skin and for banishing my spots before they got bigger.

Quick Introduction

Aloha,

Ok, I have wanted to set up a blog for a long time now and I feel like now is the time to do it. You see people like Zoella hit the internet and 5 years,5 million subscribers and the most amazing Penthouse in Brighton later, she is living the life that I suppose anyone would love to live.
Quick disclaimer, I am in no way trying to copy Zoella or Niomi Smart or aiming to eventually be where Zoella is at now. However, I aspire to them and I admire what they do.

My aim for doing this is to get the opportunity to share with you my thoughts on beauty products. I can't promise that every now and then I wont just go off track and talk about something completely different but mainly I will be reviewing products. And, let's be honest here, it gives me a chance to try out the high end brands and treat myself to new things.

Anyway, I have finished waffling now but I would really appreciate it if you followed my blog. As I said, I am in no way trying to get to the point at which many other, well known bloggers are at but I would love to just get some recognition and give me something to do with my time because currently, having already been off for 2 months, I am running out of ideas here!

Thank you very much!
